We had a great weekend at the retreat. Even though the weather was a little different then we thought a spring retreat would be… it didn’t stop our fun!!!

ATTENTION 8th Grade Families!
THIS WEDNESDAY OUR 8th GRADERS ALONG WITH THEIR LEADERS WILL GO TO HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY’S WEDNESDAY PROGRAM ACTS.
Please meet outside of the Middle School Corner by 7:15 and we will go together as a group. This is part one of our 8th Grade Milestone (formerly known as Stepping Stones) as we help them bridge to High School Ministry!
Please also save the dates for
- SATURDAY, MAY 5 (3 PM) – SUNDAY MAY 6 (NOON)- 8th Graders to High School Retreat- come get to know other high schoolers, hear their faith projects and learn a little more about High School Ministry. We will also enjoy a special dinner as a group of 8th graders and 8th grade leaders and will stay in our own cabins.
- WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (6-8:30PM)- 8th Grade Celebration- please join us as we celebrate our 8th graders and bless them in WOW and then have a reception after. Families invited to celebrate with us!

Gist: The Essence of Raising Life-Ready Kids with Rev Danielle
Wednesdays, April 11 – May 9 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel

Gist is a powerful book that reviews and examines what the journey to adulthood entails, and presents a clear look at those parenting efforts that have proven not to work over the years. ”Many hours and much emotional energy are spent in parenting strategies where nothing positive is produced.” The book’s focus on life-readiness offers parents a new lens through which to see their parenting interactions. Anderson’s approach eliminates many of the power struggles and ineffective patterns that can rob families of much of their joy. This is not a class. This is a book group designed for discussion, encouragement and inviting God into the parenting mix with you while gaining some new tools to equip you to raise life-ready kids. $20 class fee

Where’s CBW?
I LOVE SEEING WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WCC but getting their event schedule is pretty challenging sometimes! I need your help, please let me know about your middle schooler’s events (THINK PLAYS, GAMES, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, SHOWS, SCHOLAR COMPETITIONS, ETC!)
