Hi WCCMS Families,
Wow! We had an incredible week last week! First, we celebrated Halloween at our offsite Halloween Crossroads which was a blast with over 100 of our middle school friends and middle school leaders! Then parents gathered on Thursday to meet Middle School Leaders and each other! What a fun week and a great week of connecting with one another through fun experiences! Have Extra Halloween Candy? Donate it to WCCMS! We enjoy a fun size treat during our small groups on Wednesday nights! You can drop it off at WCC at the main office or Middle School Corner with Middle School written on it!

Sleep Out is next weekend!
WCCMS is a proud supporter of the IOCP Sleep Out every year. We sleep out on the front lawn of WCC in boxes to raise awareness for homelessness and to understand how blessed we are to have a bed. The night also includes games, time around the bonfire, service projects, a youth gathering at IOCP, fun with leaders and friends and more! There will also be the best box competition where you can decorate a box, that you will sleep in for the night, any way you would like. Every one that sleeps out gets a sleep out buff to wear as a neck gator, hat or hood.
Please register your Middle Schooler to be able to sleep out and participate in the WCC MS Sleep Out from 3:30pm on Saturday, November 10th to 10:15am on Sunday, November 11th. It costs $30 to sleep out with us to cover the cost of food (dinner, breakfast & snacks), bus to IOCP, service projects, etc. New friends are always welcome to join us!
Middle Schoolers may collect nonperishable food items for the IOCP food shelf or collect monetary donations for them sleeping out. To learn more, pick up a Sleep Out packet outside the Middle School Corner at WCC.

MS Sun AM DOUGHNUTS/POP TARTS/CEREAL, JUICE & FRUIT:
Please sign up to provide some sort of breakfast food or juice and fruit for our Middle Schoolers to enjoy on Sunday mornings while we are learning about the different people in the Bible. Please drop them off before 9am on Sunday morning outside of the Middle School Corner (off the West Entrance) OR DROP FOOD OFF THE WEEK BEFORE IF YOU WON’T BE AT CHURCH ON SUNDAY!
WEDNESDAY AFTER SCHOOL HEALTHY SNACKS:
Our Middle Schoolers are hungry right after school and appreciate a snack as they spend time with friends and work on homework. Please help provide healthy snacks for our Middle Schoolers after school. I usually provide some sort of variety of the following- fruit, cheese sticks, crackers, carrots with ranch, hummus, chips and salsa, microwave popcorn, etc. We have about 30 Middle Schoolers that show up. Please drop it off on the date stated or before!

Christmas Tea for MS Girls!
Every year, our Middle School Girls and Middle School Lady Leaders like to be a part of this beautiful women’s event at WCC on Thursday, December 29 from 6:30-9pm. Dress up in a fun festive outfit and join us for hot chocolate and snacks at our tables. Hear a Christmas story and enjoy some Christmas carols. A fun way to get into the holiday spirit together! This is a free event!

Christmas Fun for MS Guys!
NEW this year! The Middle School Guys and Middle School Guy Leaders are getting together to have some Christmas fun on Thursday, December 29 from 6:30-8:30pm! Dress up in a fun holiday outfit and join us for hot chocolate and snacks, a Christmas game and movie. A fun way to kick off the Christmas season together! Friends are welcome to join! This is a FREE event!

The Last Few Weeks
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17
- We were amazed to see so many Middle Schoolers show up for MEA Crossroads. We had a ton of fun walking to Ben & Jerry’s (or Caribou) for a treat to kickoff MEA with 90 Middle School Youth & Leaders!
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21
- We talked about Jacob & Esau and their crazy sibling rivalry and their parents favoring one over the other.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24
- We went offsite for Halloween Crossroads and had some big fun at the Big Thrill Factory!
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28
- We talked about Esther and how she was created for such a time as this and how she saved her people. We talked about what moments we might be created for or how to look out for moments to use our gifts.

Where’s CBW?
I LOVE SEEING WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WCC but getting their event schedule is pretty challenging sometimes! I need your help, please let me know about your middle schooler’s events (THINK PLAYS, GAMES, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, SHOWS, SCHOLAR COMPETITIONS, ETC!)
