Summer 2019- Save these dates!
We are excited for all that Summer 2019 will bring! We want to get dates to you as early as we know them so that you can plan your Summer. We have a lot of amazing ministry for your Middle Schooler to be involved in this summer and we want to get the dates out to you so you can start to put them on your calendar, talk to friends and plan for your Middle Schooler to spend time with us this summer!

Join us this Summer as we stretch our faith through service projects and fun fellowship activities. Summer Stretch is an all-day activity. Please plan to be a part of the whole day.

SUMMER FUN WITH OUR MS LEADERS- for current 6th, 7th & 8th Graders!

Back by popular demand! Last Summer was our first Summer of Summer Fun with MS Leaders and it was a BLAST! Middle School Leaders will offer different fun activities to do with a group of MSers to get to know different MSers. There will be a limit to how many Middle Schoolers can sign up. When it’s full, it’s full. We will post different events on June 1, July 1 & August 1 for each month through an email and social media. Have fun as a group & enjoy meeting some new friends & spending time with other leaders! Depending on the activity, there might be a fee or you might be asked to bring something to share with the group! Last years events included biking and ice cream, going to a Ninja Warrior Course, Backyard BBQ with Lawn Games, Hiking at Baker Park, Mini Golf, Swimming at Long Lake Beach, and going to a Twins Game!

MLK Jr Ski, Board & Tubing Day!
Looking for an activity for your Middle Schooler while they are off school?
Join us for a fun day in the snow on MLK Jr. Day on MONDAY, JANUARY 21 at Powder Ridge. We will enjoy a full day of tubing, skiing or snowboarding from 8:30am-5pm. PICK WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO FOR THE DAY OR BRING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT. Drop off will be at WCC at 8:30am and pick up at WCC at 5pm. Please send your child along with a lunch or money to buy lunch. Friends are always welcome to join us!
We also need adult volunteers that would like to come play in the snow with us for the day! No cost to you! Just email Christa to join in the fun!

Did someone say GIRLS NIGHT?!?
All 6th, 7th & 8th grade girls are getting together for a Girls Night on Friday, January 25 at 6 pm through Saturday, January 26 at noon. This annual event is an awesome time to get to know and have fun with each other and our Middle School Leaders. Christa has planned some great crafts, games, outside fun, baking, discussions, service projects and more. It will be a great night to hang out in our sweats with other girls. Cost is $30 and includes dinner, breakfast, snacks, lodging and activities- crafts, service projects, baking and more! Friends new to WCC are welcome to join!

6th Grade Milestone- Wed, Jan 30
This one session Milestone is for parents and their 6th graders, along with their 6th grade Middle School Leaders. We will explore some of the mental, emotional, and physical transitions occurring in the life of a 6th grader. This stone will give ample time for parents and students to talk peer-to-peer about the changes they are feeling and experiencing.
NEW THIS YEAR! Join us for dinner first with other 6th grade families and your 6th Graders Leaders from 5:15-6:30pm in Mithun Hall at WCC!
Friday, February 1!
All 6th, 7th & 8th grade guys are getting together for some time with the guys on Friday, February 1 at 6 pm through Saturday, February 2 at noon. The night will be filled with some great games, competitions, outside fun, discussions, and more. Volunteer to provide food for our Students!
We spend a lot of money on food for our Middle Schoolers every year. With your help, we can use that money to instead create more experiences for our students!
MS Sun AM DOUGHNUTS/POP TARTS/CEREAL, JUICE & FRUIT:
Please sign up to provide some sort of breakfast food or juice and fruit for our Middle Schoolers to enjoy on Sunday mornings while we are learning about the different people in the Bible. Please drop them off before 9am on Sunday morning outside of the Middle School Corner (off the West Entrance) OR DROP FOOD OFF THE WEEK BEFORE IF YOU WON’T BE AT CHURCH ON SUNDAY!
WEDNESDAY AFTER SCHOOL HEALTHY SNACKS:
Our Middle Schoolers are hungry right after school and appreciate a snack as they spend time with friends and work on homework. Please help provide healthy snacks for our Middle Schoolers after school. I usually provide some sort of variety of the following- fruit, cheese sticks, crackers, carrots with ranch, hummus, chips & salsa, microwave popcorn, etc. We have about 30 Middle Schoolers that show up. Please drop it off on the date stated or before!

- We enjoyed One Word Sunday with our family!

- We took today off to go back to school or to get ready to go back to school.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 6
- We gathered again to start 2019 by talking about Elizabeth and what an incredible friend she was to Mary while they were both pregnant. We talked about the qualities of a good friend and why good friends are important.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9
- We started off 2019 at Crossroads by jumping into our unit on “Learning to Grey” and talked about BOUNDARIES! We especially focused on Boundaries with our family. Click here to see what we talked about!

Where’s CBW?
I LOVE SEEING WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WCC but getting their event schedule is pretty challenging sometimes! I need your help, please let me know about your middle schooler’s events (THINK PLAYS, GAMES, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, SHOWS, SCHOLAR COMPETITIONS, ETC!)
