Spring Break Crossroads Plans
Because we have so many different Spring Breaks with having Middle Schoolers from 20 different Middle Schools (WOW!), we mix things up for the Wednesday during most schools Spring Breaks- March 27 & April 3. So, if you are around for Spring Break, join us for a different kind of Crossroads with some surprises as we enjoy spring break together! We will also still have After School time starting at 4pm these weeks!
Middle School Retreat- 4/12-4/14
THE SPRING RETREAT IS FINALLY HERE! This April comes the event you’ve been waiting for all year… THE MIDDLE SCHOOL RETREAT! You don’t want to miss out on this weekend! IT’S LIKE A WEEKEND OF SUMMER CAMP DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR!
Join Christa, Brady & the Middle School Leaders for a super fun weekend with games, friends, small groups, free time & more! All activities, discussions and small groups are planned by WCCMS while we enjoy the space that we rent from Camp Ihduhapi. On Friday, April 12, Retreat check-in begins at 6pm at WCC’s West Entrance, by the Gym. Sunday, April 14, we will return by noon. Please eat dinner before arriving!
The cost for the weekend is $130 and includes 2 nights stay at Camp Ihduhapi, 4 meals & plenty of snacks, transportation by professional bus drivers, games, all activities, & so much fun! If your student has been on a past retreat (or overnights!) with WCC, you know that we like to have a lot of fun, build community within our Middle School Ministry and have some beautiful faithful conversations about personal growth in life & faith, that is geared towards this specific development phase. We are excited about all that Summer 2019 will bring! We want to get dates to you as early as we know them so that you can plan your Summer. We have a lot of amazing ministry for your Middle Schooler to be involved in this summer and we want to get the dates out to you so you can start to put them on your calendar, talk to friends and plan for your Middle Schooler to spend time with us this summer!

MIDDLE SCHOOL MISSION TRIP – Southern Minnesota to Rochester & Owatonna- for current 6th, 7th & 8th Graders

- NOTE: If you are an incoming 9th grader and planning to go on the Mission Trip, register for High School Camp 1 or 2. (High School Camp 3 returns after we leave!)

SUMMER STRETCH- for current 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Graders!

Join us this Summer as we stretch our faith through service projects and fun fellowship activities. Summer Stretch is an all-day activity. Please plan to be a part of the whole day.

SUMMER FUN WITH OUR MS LEADERS- for current 6th, 7th & 8th Graders!

Back by popular demand! Last Summer was our first Summer of Summer Fun with MS Leaders and it was a BLAST! Middle School Leaders will offer different fun activities to do with a group of MSers to get to know different MSers. There will be a limit to how many Middle Schoolers can sign up. When it’s full, it’s full. We will post different events on June 1, July 1 & August 1 for each month through an email and social media. Have fun as a group & enjoy meeting some new friends & spending time with other leaders! Depending on the activity, there might be a fee or you might be asked to bring something to share with the group! Last years events included biking and ice cream, going to a Ninja Warrior Course, Backyard BBQ with Lawn Games, Hiking at Baker Park, Mini Golf, Swimming at Long Lake Beach, and going to a Twins Game!

The Last Few Weeks
SUNDAY, MARCH 17
- We enjoyed worship with our families to experience the orchestra, choirs and special Celtic focus.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20
- Before moving into Spring Break weeks, we talked about wise choices with technology and how our choices affect others. We talked about how technology can be positive or negative based on how we use it.
SUNDAY, MARCH 24
- We had a great conversation about Thomas and learning that Jesus didn’t get mad at him even though he had doubt and that Jesus met him where he was at in his faith and life. We talked about how God knows just what we each need and will meet us where we are at in our lives and faith.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27
- We enjoyed having a little fun with the beautiful weather and a smaller group for Spring Break… we walked to get ice cream in downtown Wayzata!

Where’s CBW?
I LOVE SEEING WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WCC but getting their event schedule is pretty challenging sometimes! I need your help, please let me know about your middle schooler’s events (THINK PLAYS, GAMES, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, SHOWS, SCHOLAR COMPETITIONS, ETC!)
