Early Childhood Ministry Choir Sings in Worship THIS SUNDAY 11/4
Any children present in the 2-3 year old and 3-5 year old classes on this morning should promptly check in electronically and drop off in classrooms like an ordinary Sunday. We sing towards the beginning of worship so, teachers will be bringing the whole class upstairs to enjoy the music and support our friends! Children will be given the choice to stand on the steps to sing or sit on the floor to watch.
November Curriculum Update – Welcome to the Happy Helpers Club!
Who helps me, and how can I show them I am thankful for them? We have already learned about Tabitha and how she made clothes for people who needed them. Her story reminds us to be thankful for the people in our lives that make sure we have clothes that fit when we grow bigger and clothes to keep us warm in the winter here in Minnesota! Certainly, there are more helpers to be thankful for so, this month, we will continue to hear stories to help us discover who those helpers are and actions we can take to become a part of God’s Happy Helpers Club.
Furthermore, we want our preschoolers to grow up with eyes that see the helpers and a heart that is thankful, because no matter how grown up you are, you always have people helping you and a thank you goes a long way. When we stop and think about it, we are surrounded by helpers who deserve a big thank you for all the ways they help us. They are making the world we live in—the world our preschoolers live in—a better place.
What’s Coming Next?
WEEK 2 – 11/4, 11/7
Sometimes we need a lot of help, and God
made people to help us. We can do more as a group
than we can alone. Nehemiah rebuilt the wall around the
city, but he didn’t do it alone. He had help.
I am thankful for people who help me.
Just like Nehemiah asked people to help, we can ask
people to help us too. And, we should be thankful for
the help they give.
WEEK 3 – 11/11, 11/14
Next we will hear the story of the Good Samaritan. When we are hurt and scared, we need help. God made people to help us just like the Good Samaritan helped the hurt man.
I am thankful for people who help me when I’m hurt. Preschoolers get boo boos often, and so many people help them when they’re hurt. We can say thank you to all the people who help us when we’re hurt.
Volunteer to spend time in your child’s classroom this year!
Sign up to PLAY in your child’s classroom!
Family has the most potential to influence a child’s relationship with God. Something extraordinary can happen in the hearts of the next generation if we take the influences of family (red) and church (yellow) and combine them (to make orange!). Together we can have a bigger and lasting impact on all of our children. They do say that it takes a village to raise a child and we, here in EC Ministry, love being a part of your village!
Therefore, we invite you to experience church alongside your child and his/her friends during 9am Worship! These events are low pressure for you, as we have staff to run the teaching of the lesson. Come play with your child, have fun, and connect with other parents in your child’s class.
Our first opportunity is on Sunday November 18th! Click here to see open dates and sign up today!
