This year during Lent we are going to do things a bit differently. Instead of a Lenten study, we are going to do a cooperative Lenten practice. Each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:15 p.m. we will gather in the Colonnade, to pause. As we practice pausing, taking a break, breathing deeply… we will learn to be attentive to ourselves, to others, and to the divine. The text for these weekly gatherings will be the Pause Lenten Daily Devotionals. Click HERE to sign up for the daily devotionals that will begin on Ash Wednesday. Come each week having read the daily devotionals for the week and we will base our discussion and practice off what we have experienced in the devotional.
We recognize that our faith, while practiced in church, is lived in the world. As we pause, we will look at what the lessons of the week have brought before us to learn. Together we will receive these gifts both messy and beautiful, and we will respond. We will move to action for the good of all people.
Our deepest desire is that, as we move through the business of the new year, with deep intention we can learn to encounter our lives in new ways. Join us as we learn to practice attentive whole living.
