HOLY WEEK WORSHIP
HOLY WEDNESDAY*
April 17, 5:15 p.m. Community Meal & 6:30 p.m. Worship, Mithun Hall
This year we will begin our Holy Week services with Wednesday Night  Table Worship. Join us for a $5 meal, followed by worship in Mithun Hall.   We will walk through Jesus’ last meal with his followers, connect our journey to the passover journey of our Jewish brothers and sisters, and be sent out as servant leaders into Christ’s Kindom.
Childcare available for Birth-PreK.

MAUNDY THURSDAY, TENEBRAE WITH COMMUNION*
April 18, 7:00 p.m., Sanctuary
The service of Tenebrae, meaning “darkness” or “shadows,” has been practiced by the church since medieval times. Once a service for the
monastic community, Tenebrae later became an important part of the worship of the entire church during Holy Week. We join Christians of many generations throughout the world in using the liturgy of Tenebrae.

Tenebrae is a prolonged meditation on Christ’s suffering. Readings trace the story of Christ’s passion, music portrays his pathos, and the power of silence and darkness suggests the drama of this momentous day. As lights are extinguished, we ponder the depth of Christ’s suffering and death; we remember the cataclysmic nature of his sacrifice and through the return of the small but persistent flame of the Christ candle at the conclusion of the service, we anticipate the joy of ultimate victory.
Childcare available for Birth-PreK.

GOOD FRIDAY, EXPERIENTIAL WORSHIP*
April 19, 6:00 p.m., Sanctuary
Our Good Friday Experience is one of the most reverent and dramatic services of the year with profound music, spoken word, art, and a chance for all to engage in a solemn, contemplative, and modern style worship experience.
Childcare available for Birth-PreK.
