Beginning July 1, join us in worship this summer for our sermon series “Summer of Stories: Stories That Change Us.” Stories of scripture, our lives, and those we tell ourselves and others, have the power to shape how we understand God, ourselves, and the world. The power of stories is they shape how we perceive reality.
Stories are also windows into the hearts and lives of other people. They allow us to understand others better. Stories create categories into which we can sort and learn from one other. They have the power to generate empathy and understanding. Stories also give us a window into society helping us understand our world in new ways. This, in turn, allows us to see both the flaws and the beauty of the world around us. Over this Summer, we will invite you to explore the “Stories that change us.”
