“Gifts from the Dark” Bible Study with Rev. Rustin Comer
Wednesdays through Lent
4 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel
Join Rev. Rustin Comer for the “Gifts from the Dark” Lenten Bible Study at 4 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel. We will discuss topics of our Lenten series from the book “Gifts of the Dark Wood” by Eric Elnes, which is the basis of our Lenten study. INKLINGS: Theology on Tap
Join Rev. Rustin Comer for Theology on Tap. We meet every Wednesday for a guided discussion on theology, the Bible, and courageous conversations topics. Tailored to Young Adults 21+, Post College and Career, 9:00 p.m. at Kips Irish Pub, St. Louis Park.

ScreenAgers
Wednesdays, March 8 & 15, 7:15 p.m. in the Colonnade
Join us for a free community event on Wednesday, March 8 at 7:15 p.m. as we watch the documentary “Screenagers.”  The following Wednesday, March 15, we will have an open conversation about healthy boundaries, about cell phones (and other screens), and what’s working and not working. We will have some tech experts and other parents to help facilitate discussions, answer questions, and share resources.

Joyful Noise Handbells

Practice from 5:15-6:00 p.m. in Bell Choir Room
Adult ringing for monthly participation in worship – there is virtually always room to integrate new ringers – please visit!  Music reading is important, handbell experience is not.

Celebration Singers
Practice from 7:15-8:00 p.m. in GraceNotes/Adult Choir Room
Celebration Singers is a non-auditioned choir that leads worship with Tapestry at the 9 a.m. Celebrations service, September through June. The choir sings updated hymns, gospel favorites and worship choruses. Directed by Autumn Toussaint and Lynda Sleeper. Everyone is welcome!

Chancel Choir
Practice from 7:15-9:15 p.m. in Adult Choir Room/Sanctuary
This auditioned choir sings most Sundays, September through June, and serves as the primary vocal music leadership for our traditional services. Chancel Choir is a welcoming community of adult singers, directed by Tom Paulson.

EARLY CHILDHOOD
Childcare

4:15 to 8:30 p.m., Garden Room/Crib Room
Childcare is provided by a trained, experienced group of adults and students of the church. The safety and security of the youngest children of our church is a priority. For children ages Birth to 5 years.

Cherub Choir (Ages 3-5 Years)
4:30-5:00 p.m., Community Room
Cherub Choir emphasizes early musical experiences through play and movement in a more relaxed choir environment.  Directed by Jodie Nyberg.

Littlest Angels Active Play Time (Ages 3-5 Years)
5:00-6:00 p.m., Community Room
Children ages 3-5 are welcome to come and jump, ride a tricycle, and climb on age appropriate, safe equipment.  On nice days in the fall and spring, we will go outside and play on the playground.  This playtime is unsupervised, so please watch your children carefully.

Storytime
During the WoW service, for young children
Shana will call the children together in the Sanctuary and walk with them to the Onan Room for a short Bible story and conversation during the WoW message. She will return with the children to rejoin their parents before the end of the service.

KINDERGARTEN – 5TH GRADE
Open Gym (K-5th Grade)

4:30-6:00 p.m., Gym
Join your faith friends for open gym time. We’ll have equipment for all kinds of free play and will have a gym monitor helping to keep kids safe.

Joy Choir (Kindergarten)
4:30-5:00 p.m. in GraceNotes
In Joy Choir we emphasize early musical experiences such as learning about rhythm, matching pitch, and following the Director.  Rehearsals are in GraceNotes (across from the Choir Room) and is directed by Autumn Toussaint.

Chimers Handbell Choir (3rd-8th grade)
4:30-5:00 p.m. in Bell Choir Room
Join the Bell Choir and learn to ring and mallet traditional and rock worship music.  Directed by Kraig Windschitl.

Hosanna Choir (1st-2nd grade)
4:30-5:00 p.m. in Choir Room
Hosanna Choir emphasizes early musical experiences such as rhythm, matching pitch, basic musical terms, note values and dynamics. Hosanna Choir is directed by Autumn Toussaint.

Alleluia Choir (3rd-5th grade)
5:00-5:30 p.m. in Choir Room
In Alleluia Choir we will work on more advanced musical experiences such as solo singing, musical terms, singing in parts and the basics of reading music. Allelulia Choir is directed by Autumn Toussaint.

Moment for Mission
September 14, 2016 through May 17, 2017
• K- 2nd Grade: 5:00-5:35 p.m.
• 3rd-5th Grade: 5:35-6:05 p.m.
Both classes are held in the Graceland Art Room and in
the Care of You Room
Every week we’ll participate and learn about meaningful mission projects for those in need in our community or world! We’ll pack food for starving kids in Haiti, make sandwiches for those living on the streets in Minneapolis, make cards and gifts for those who need cheer, tie blankets for sick kids and so much more. Put your faith into action in this hands-on midweek class! Register online for this class.

Faith, Flick and Fun! (K-5th grade)
September 14, 2016 – May 17, 2017
Wednesdays, 7:15-8:30 p.m., Planet Holywood Movie Room
All kids in K-5th Grade are invited to join Jodie and Shana in the Planet Holywood Movie Room each Wednesday from 7:15-8:30 p.m. We’ll watch a Christ-centered video with popcorn and a drink, and follow up with activities and discussion. We’ll end the evening with free play in the Gym with our friends in faith.

YOUTH
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Hang Out in The Corner
4:00-6:15 p.m.
Come hang out in the Corner (Middle School Room) with friends, (old and new) and enjoy a snack, play games, make a craft, listen to music, work on homework. There will also be some Open Gym time.

4:30-5:00 p.m. in Bell Choir Room
Join the Bell Choir and learn to ring and mallet traditional and rock worship music.  Directed by Kraig Windschitl.

Disciples Plus Choir (6th-12th grade)
5:30-6:15 p.m. in GraceNotes
Disciples Plus is an energetic group of teenagers who sing and celebrate a wide variety of songs from Contemporary Christian, to Traditional, to Current Pop Songs. All are welcome. Disciples Plus is directed by Autumn Toussaint & Patrick Morgan.

Crossroads (6th-8th grade)
7:15-8:30 p.m. in The Corner (Middle School Room)
We start with our live Crossroads band, compete in silly games or skits, and hear a message that relates to our lives. We end the night in small groups discussing the night’s message with our friends and learning from one another, discussing how God, our faith, and our lives all come together. Each Middle Schooler will be in a small group with their friends and adult mentors for the full year!

HIGH SCHOOL

On Wednesdays we worship with one another, and then come together to go deeper with some time together. We’ll share experiences, learn about the Bible, and enjoy great discussions that will encourage you in your faith. Our time is focused on personal faith formation, messages that are relevant to your lives as High School young people, and sharing all of this within a unique community of incredible people! Join us… and invite your friends! Everyone is welcome.
