Come and be transformed by this incredible international collaboration between the renowned Minnesota vocal ensemble Cantus and the Swedish men’s choir Korgossarna.

Now entering its 31st season, the “engaging” (New Yorker) lowvoice ensemble Cantus is widely known for its trademark warmth and blend, innovative programming, and riveting performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century. The Washington Post has hailed the Cantus sound as having both “exalting finesse” and “expressive power” and refers to the “spontaneous grace” of its music making.

Västgöta Nation’s Male Choir Korgossarna, or VGMK for short, is an academic male choir at Västgöta Nation in Uppsala. VGMK consists of around 30 singers and performs in small and large ensembles both at its concerts and at national meetings and private parties. The choir profiles itself as a unique blend of high musical ambition, student-like humor and wit, and a strong and healthy brotherly community. Since 2013, the choir has been honored to have Prince Daniel of Sweden as its patron, and since 2015, the choir has been led by conductor Rebecka Gustafsson. VGMK is traveling to Minnesota as guests of the American Swedish Institute in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the sister city agreement between Minneapolis and Uppsala.
