Children of all ages (K-5th grade) are invited to join us on September 8, as we welcome in the new year of programming! Check in on the iPads at the west or east entrance then head to the gym where volunteer teachers will greet your children. We always begin in the gym with a few minutes of free play, then move to our large group worship time. After worship, all ages meet in classrooms with parent volunteers for small group faith-based activities. Parents pick up in the classrooms at 10:00 am. Look for opportunities to volunteer in this program during the year!
Graceland Sunday School
For ages K-5th grade beginning September 8

Join us on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in “Graceland”, our Sunday program. Each week we begin in the gym with a few minutes of free play, and then move to our large group worship time. Graceland Sunday School depends on volunteers to provide a fun, faith-filled program for our kiddos. This is a wonderful way to get involved and a great way to give back to the church! We’ll provide everything you need for small group time and you will always have a partner. If you want to sign up with a spouse just choose two spots. Kindergarten Backpack Blessing
All new Kindergarteners are invited to join us on Sunday, September 15 at the 9:00 a.m. service for a Blessing of the Backpacks. Just bring your backpack to church, sit with your parents, and we will call you up for this special blessing and we pray for you in this big new adventure. All elementary kids will start in the Sanctuary on this special Sunday to bless and welcome the kindergarteners. After the blessing, we’ll all walk down to Sunday School together.

Faith and Fun Wednesdays!

For ages K-5th grade
All kids age K-5th grade are welcome to join us each week starting September 11th in the Gym and Labs as we laugh, learn and grow in faith together. Each week we’ll begin in a large group where we’ll play a silly group game, sing faith-filled songs, explore our monthly Bible verse and topic, and more. After large group time we’ll gather with our leaders in small groups (by age group) where program leaders make the Bible story come to life with games and activities. Parents pick up in classrooms at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday Open Gym
Wednesdays, 5:15-6:30 p.m. in the Gym
All kids ages K-5th grade are invited to join us for free play in the gym every Wednesday evening. We have a hired high schooler watching over kids to make sure they play safe , but we rely on parents to keep track of their own kiddos.
SPECIAL EVENTS
4th Grade Bible Milestone
October 10, 24, November 7 and 14
6:30-7:45 p.m. in Mithun Hall
Bible Sunday is on November 17th
All 4th graders and parents are invited to attend this four-session Milestone to learn about the Bible together. On Sunday, November 17, 4th graders will be presented with their very own Bible in the Sanctuary. Registration links will be sent out to families.
Kids Night Out
For kids ages 3 through 5th grade
Fridays, October 11, November 15 and
December 13, 5:30-9:00 p.m. in the Gym

Calling all kids ages 3 through 5th grade. Join us for our favorite Friday of the month! We’ll play games in the Gym, make cool crafts, eat a yummy pizza dinner and watch a kid-friendly movie. Cost is $20 per person for an evening of fun!

TRUNK OR TREAT
Saturday, October 26
2:00-4:00 p.m. in the WCC parking lots
All ages and stages are invited to attend our fifth annual Trunk or Treat event sponsored by WCC’s Children’s Ministry and Parables Disability Ministry. Wear a costume, bring your trick or treat bag, and join us in the front parking lot of WCC for a fun and safe outdoor experience. You’ll trick or treat along the blocked-off parking lot where volunteers will have car trunks decorated and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters! We also need volunteers of all ages to host a trunk! Use your imagination and decorate your trunk (and yourself). This event is free and open to our community!
