Bricks to Bread
Oktoberfiesta Fundraiser
Friday, September 29, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 1, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Mark your calendar to attend the annual Bricks to Bread fall event. Bricks to Bread partners with local organizations to support female entrepreneurs with dreams of owning their own bakery and pizza businesses to provide fresh baked goods and bring communities
together. We focus on single household women seeking a sustainable source of income to combat poverty.
Oktoberfiesta is a fall fundraiser event featuring fresh baked pretzels (made in an outdoor brick oven), beer, music and lots of fun! All proceeds go toward funding female entrepreneurship in Costa Rica. We also need volunteers for the event! To volunteer or purchase event tickets, contact Danielle Jones at djones@wayzatacommunitychurch.org.

Make a difference in the lives of our WCC Mission Partners by serving. Join in as an individual, or as an entire family— all are welcome. Come and make some new connections while being the hands and feet of Christ. We’ll gather at WCC in the west parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and carpool to Edith’s House in Minneapolis for a “Fall Yard Cleanup”. Bring work gloves, rakes, and any yard essential tools you think would be needed. We’ll also have specific projects for our younger ones (when they tire of raking) making cards and essential goodie bags for the residents.
Edith’s House provides a path to self-sufficiency through stable housing, employment guidance, connections to social services, as well as encouragement. Optional: Following our time together we’ll head to the Muni in Wayzata for food, fellowship, and to take in the MN Gopher game.
Cranberry Ridge Community Meal Team
Once a month on Thursdays, a group from WCC goes to Cranberry Ridge to provide a meal and activities to help build community and relationships at Cranberry Ridge. Volunteers are needed to help bring food for the meal (you may choose to stay and serve but you are welcome to just drop off part of the meal). These community meals continue each month. Please contact Mary Coleman, colemanmary211@gmail.com or Judy Reed, reeddj2@comcast.net if you are interested in helping!
