Faith. Community. Inclusion. Fun.
At Wayzata Community Church Summer Camp, life isn’t paused—it’s lived fully.
And and that’s exactly what camp is all about. It’s a place where kids experience life the way it’s meant to be lived—together, with purpose, and with hearts open to God’s love.
What Makes WCC Camp Unique
Faith
We believe that following Jesus is transformative. Camp is filled with opportunities for kids to be fully themselves, to know that God loves them exactly as they are, and to explore what it means to follow Jesus in community—day by day.
Fun
We believe that joy is holy. At WCC Summer Camp, fun isn’t just an extra—it’s an essential part of how kids build confidence, form friendships, and feel safe being their full, silly, creative selves. When laughter fills our spaces, barriers come down and kids become more open to growth, connection, and the movement of God in their lives.
Values
We believe that theology matters. At WCC, we proclaim that God is loving and inclusive above all else. We believe that God makes no mistakes—every person is a unique and unrepeatable miracle worth celebrating. Our goal is to include every child in our camp ministry, encouraging them to grow in faith and life as the person God created them to be.
Camp That Lasts All Year
The relationships, growth, and faith that begin at camp don’t end when the week is over—they continue to flourish in our year-round ministries. When your child returns to WCC on Sundays or Wednesdays, they reconnect with leaders and friends, deepening the seeds of faith that were planted at camp.

Registration Process
Beginning Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. CST, register online for Summer Camp 2026. If you have not created an account in Campsite already, you will begin by creating an account for your family, including all your 2026 campers. Have your campers’ current health immunization and insurance card handy when you go online, as this information will be required during the registration process. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required for each registered camper. NOTE: We highly recommend that you create/update your family account in Campsite ahead of time, as this will make the registration process on January 13th more efficient.
Cabinmates
We recognize that a sense of security begins at the time of registration when kids can request other students to be their cabinmates. We offer a chance to request three cabinmates, and will go to great effort to accommodate at least one of these requests. However circumstances do arise that make it impossible to grant every request. Please be aware that groups are often divided between different cabins. All requests must be made 14 days prior to camp.
After registration is completed
1. Following the completion of enrollment in Campsite, including the $100 deposit, you will receive an email confirming that your child is registered.
2. Changes made after your child has been registered for a camp session will be based on space and availability and require approval by the camp registrars. You may not change the registration of any child but your own. To request a change, send an email to Kathy Handy at khandy@wayzatacommunitychurch.org.
Is WCC Summer Camp Right for My Child?
FAQs
Check-in & Return Procedures
All Camp sessions check in at 12:00 noon on the first day of your camp session. Check-in takes place in the Gym and West entrance at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd. East. All campers will be returned to the church at 12:00 noon on the final day of the session. (The bus may be 10-15 minutes delayed, based on traffic.) Cabin assignments will be communicated at check-in.
Transportation
Campers are transported to and from Chi Rho Center on school buses, operated by professional drivers. Please make sure that your camper’s luggage makes it into the luggage trailer. Chaperones will be on each bus to ensure a positive experience on the way to and from camp.
Late arrivals/early departures
We strongly discourage partial camp experiences due to late arrivals and/or early departures. The experience of camp is designed with the expectation that all campers will be there for the entire camp session; any changes in the makeup of the camper population affects not only the absent person but all of those in camp. Any late arrivals or early departures must be approved by the Camp Director, at least 7 days prior to the camper’s session.
Food & Lodging
All meals take place in the dining hall, with meals prepared by the kitchen staff, and served by the Work Crew. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions your child has.
Camp Store
Campers have the opportunity each day to buy snacks and specialty items at the camp store. Camp store deposits can be made in advance in Campsite. You will also have the opportunity at check-in to deposit money into your camp store account. Parents should use their own discretion in the amount of money that is deposited in their camp store account. Refunds will not be offered from the camp store.
Policy Concerning Campers Eligibility
We accept all individuals. We want to make sure that our camp reflects the wide open, inclusive love that we know through Jesus.
Payment & Refund Policy
All payments for camp are made through Campsite. Payments will be charged to your credit card on file. No refunds will be given after May 1, 2026.
– A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at enrollment.
– In addition to payment-in-full at enrollment, we offer the following two-payment option: 1) Pay 50% by March 15th, and 2) Pay remaining balance by May 1st.
– Scholarships are available! We never want cost to be a barrier for kids experiencing camp.
Please contact Dave Knoll with questions about camp payments or scholarship inquiries at dknoll@wayzatacommunitychurch.org or 952-473-8877.
High School Work Crew
We hope that incoming 10th-12th grade students will consider serving through our Work Crew Ministry. Work Crew is an opportunity for students to experience an extended service-based faith experience. Each session consists of a small group of students who are devoted to serving God, the camp, and the campers. This year, not all work crew experiences will be equal length. This is to accommodate our students’ busy schedules and some shifts in our camp calendar. If our sessions fill, preference will be given to seniority, and then order of applications. To apply for Work Crew fill out this application form. You will receive a response by March 1, 2026. Questions? Contact Mike Solberg at msolberg@wayzatacommunitychurch.org or (651) 377-2285.
Work Crew Session #1: June 15–18 ($150)
4 days, 3 nights
Work Crew Session #2: June 28-June 30 ($100)
3 days, 2 nights
Work Crew Session #3: July 7–17 ($350)
10 days, 8 nights (Saturday, July 11th off)
Camp Staff Application
Camp changes lives! Many of you know this firsthand—whether you experienced camp as a camper, served on Work Crew, or were part of the Staff. At camp, we invite everyone to bring their whole selves. We create shared expectations so our community can experience meaningful, healthy relationships.
While camp includes many activities, its heart is always the same: Self, Others, and God. Camp offers a glimpse of life as it should be—a place to be real, to belong, and to grow. You’ll have opportunities for new experiences, deep connection, and personal transformation.
Come be part of an incredible ministry that is truly changing the world! Click here to apply.
Where is WCC Summer Camp Located?

Chi Rho Center is situated on a beautiful peninsula on the shores of Lake Sylvia. Located only an hour away from WCC, its location offers greater ease and access for all campers on one of Minnesota’s most pristine lakes. For more than four decades, Chi Rho Center has been an outreach of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Minneapolis. We are excited to be partnering once again with St. John’s, as we share a passion for camp and retreat ministries.
