In our triumphs, struggles, searching, standing still, hopefulness and brokenness, we are altogether beautiful. Join us in retreat, just as you are, for a time of searching the Bible and our lives through the lens of sacred possibility, together. Meaningful connection, worship, scripture, prayer, and conversation will make up this peaceful overnight at the Episcopal House of Prayer, nestled in maple woods on the campus of Saint John’s Abbey and University in Collegeville, MN.
Our retreat will begin around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday with Happy Hour fellowship, and end at 1:00 p.m. Monday following lunch and worship. A no overnight option IS available that does include meals. You’ll receive a packing list upon completed registration. Leading us on this journey will be Stephanie Spencer, a former pastor and seminary grad who is passionate about helping others learn to trust their wisdom, and risk listening to the desires of their hearts. As a gifted teacher with 40 Orchards, Stephanie will create a safe space for us to wrestle through Biblical texts using the ancient Jewish concepts of midrash. Stephanie is also an author, Enneagram Coach, artist, wife, mother, and coffee-lover. (She is also teaching an adult faith class on the Enneagram this Fall at WCC.)
Space is limited. Registration closes October 1, or when we reach full capacity. Questions? Contact Autumn Toussaint, atoussaint@wayzatacommunitychurch.org
