Talking with The Teachers:Throughout the month of January children will hear the story of Jesus at age 12 talking with the teachers in the temple. This is one of the only stories we have in the bible of Jesus as a child. In this story children will learn about the journey from Nazareth to Jerusalem that Jesus family took and that Jesus wandered off and got lost! After looking everywhere they found him in the temple talking with the elders!!
Bible Story: Luke 2:39-52
Bible Verse: “Jesus matured in wisdom and years, and in favor with God and with people.” (Luke 2:52)
Throughout the 4 week unit Children will:
Join us this month as we make this story come alive through art, cooking, games, science, spiritual practices and drama!
Throughout the month of January we’ll discover what the word self control means and how to activate it into our lives. Each week we’ll learn a bible story to make the theme come alive through storytelling, music, small group experiences and short video clips.
Our Bible themes for the month are:
City with Broken Walls Proverbs 25:28
Slow to Anger Proverbs 16:32
Choose Your Words Carefully Proverbs 12:18
Too Much of a Good Thing Proverbs 25:16
All kids have small group leaders who meet with them each week to build relationships and to teach the lessons through games and activities. Research shows that all kids need caring adults in their lives to walk with them on the journey. Our committed leaders understand this mission and have signed on for the year to walk in faith with your kids!
Friday, January 18th (6-10pm) Graceland Gym
