Milestones Ministry – Infant Baptism & Preschool Prayer
Thank you to all who joined us for the Dr. Seuss Book Breakfast!
We stuffed our faces full of pancakes, sausage, truffula tree cereal, oranges, and bananas, enjoyed lots of painting and art projects, got our faces painted, played some games, and enjoyed getting to see The Lorax book read from the big screen! It was a wonderful way to spend a cold Saturday morning in community with other early childhood families from both WCC and WCCNS.
We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
Kids’ Night Out
The next Kids’ Night Out is THIS FRIDAY February 16th! Children, 3 years old through 5th grade, are welcome to join us for a night of pizza, games, crafts, and a movie. Check your child in at the Gym, by the West Entrance, at 6pm. The fun concludes at 10pm. We know this is quite late for our early childhood friends so know that it is always okay to pick your child(ren) up early. Let Jodie Nyberg or Ashley Fournier know at check-in if that is something you are interested in.
The link to register will be available soon!

Cherub Choir
There is no Cherub Choir this week! Instead, come join our Children’s Ministry friends Mission in Motion, WCC’s hands on service fair.
This year, Mission in Motion falls on the day we celebrate love, Valentine’s Day, February 14th. What a better day to show love to our neighbors near and far! Join us in the gym for our annual hands on service and mission fair at WCC. We’ll make sandwiches for the homeless, fill bags of laundry soap for those in need, make dog for the dog shelter, create snack and play bags for siblings and parents at the Ronald McDonald House and so much more. Representatives from many organizations will be here also to tell you more about their non-profit and to encourage your family to continue volunteering. No cost for this event, bring your friends!
Milestones Ministry
Infant Baptism Milestone: Engaging the Sacrament of Baptism
Parents of infants spend one session sharing, laughing, and growing as they learn about their baby’s physical, emotional and spiritual health…as well as their own. We share about the sacrament of Baptism and the theology behind why we practice this ancient ritual. The course finishes with your child’s baptism at Sunday worship. Parents and their infants are together for the beginning and close of the session, with nursery care provided during the rest of the session. Childcare will be provided for additional children in your family at the cost of $20 per family. Our next baptism milestone session is Thursday February 1, 2018 from 6-7:15pm in the Colonnade. Future sessions are tentatively scheduled for the following Thursdays: April 12th, and May 3rd.
4 Year Old Preschool Prayer Milestone: Building Family Prayer Tools
A child’s transition from infant to toddler to preschooler is a period of constant discovery for parent and child alike. From the child’s perspective, virtually everything he or she encounters – from the most mundane task to the most unique occurrence – is happening for the first time. In this single session course we will craft 5 prayer tools to be used in your family. We will learn together how to put these prayer tools to use in your family’s regular flow of life. An announcement with the specific date will be coming your way soon!
Blessings,
